Thank you sir. I used a lighter, the big one used for grills. I filled the container with the lighter fumes and then ignited it, voila.

Nice surfing shot, elpolodiablo! Thanks for demonstrating how well the K-01 works with M lenses. I am really leaning toward buying one, especially at the discounted price. I was wondering how well it would work with the Takumars, and your post shows it should have no problems!

I spent all morning with the K-01 and Rikonon 85mm, but could not find anything to photograph. Brown Novembers are the problem, I guess. To add insult, my card started acting up. A new Lexar. I kept getting the message "could not write to file". I have no idea what went wrong, but when I returned home and tried it again, it worked fine. It just wasn't my day, but to prove I was out there trying, here's picture of me with the 85mm.

Have no idea whatsoever as to Lexar's reputation for reliability as I have zero experience with their products but I do sell an awful lot of Sandisk and PNY cards at my store. I get a decent amount of people who swear up and down that Sandisk is the best and that they switched over from companies such as Lexar, Kingston, and Transcend. I've only shot with Sandisk as they seem to be on sale every other week but I've been happy with them so far.

Could just be a case of everyone assuming that "SD" in SD(HC) Card stands for Sandisk so they must be the best. Much in the same way that BOSE and Monster have brainwashed the masses into thinking they are the pinnacle of audio excellence.

pentaxian_tmb - Wow, a very nice set!

Lots of gray to combat here in Seattle, but here's a fun shot from today The evening gathering of crows was zipping around and I snapped a bunch of shots with the FA100-300 4.7....which really only shoots well in bright sun at f/8-11 :P The focus ended up on the tree, but I decided that worked for me!

Shot at iso6400 with DA70 - focus peaked on the whiskers but light was very low in that bag!

I guess these would count as my best K-01 shots as these are all part of my first set of photos as well as my first time using the camera. So far I can say that it may not be quite as much fun as little brother Q but it's one hell of a shooter all the same.

Had a visit from Mr. Dragonfly yesterday. Here is one of the shot. Took using K-01 + Sigma 105 Macro in focus peaking mode.
