Looks like it's not working. I don't see an image.

Edit: I see it now.

Happy Saturday, everyone. A mallard from yesterday: K-01 w. 70mm f2.4; processed, then exported straight from Lightroom.

Is there a way here to upload images without putting them on the web first?

Cheers.

Here some more from yesterday's outing with the K-01. All shot RAW and processed with ACDSee Pro 3. As an aside, kudos to Pentax for sticking with the DNG format. It's nice to be able to edit RAW files from a brand new camera with a 3 year old program.

You can attach them directly in Advanced, add to your Gallery here and link or make a Photo Album here, upload them to the album and link into the Post from there. Look in My Account >> Edit Albums. On the right, Click Insert Album Photos.

First Images K-01 FA35/2

I wouldn't put these in the "Best Photos" category but I am impressed by this sensor. Why have I been waiting to get a K-5? It is unfortunately pouring rain this afternoon (though we need the moisture) and I must put my kitchen back together after last week's redecorating. Nothing like fresh paint to cheer things up.

Just seeing what the FA35/2 would do - hand held Av EXIF in the image - please use PhotoMe. No PP done at all. Captured in DNG, extracted, resized in PSE9. The jpg doesn't do the camera justice, and I could have exposed a bit to the right.

100% Crop. Just amazing detail

There are a lot of nice images on this thread. Looking forward to seeing more. I might have to invest in this camera.

21mm f3.2 about an hour after sunset. 3200 ISO. Used a park bench for support. Incredibly clean file is why I posted this - not exactly a "best shot".

Seems like the straight out of camera DNGs are a little muted but well-structured, so they can handle boosts in shadow areas and saturation without looking artificial. Very encouraging. Not to knock the K-7, which served me well, but this sensor's in a different league.

Okay, enough editorializing...

Agreed. We're rolling now. I'm loving the images.

Here are some more I took today at Rocket Park at JSC. Used the DA70, DA40 and DA21. (I sold my 40mm XS as was my original plan, though it's a fine lens - much more capable than a "kit" lens.)

Russ: REALLY nice. I'm still jerking around indoors. We got 2" of rain today and the runoff discovered the crack in my foundation again.

Hmm.. you forgot to mention that you are King Alfred.. or Alfred The Great. Please, tell me that is NOT your palace?

Nice shots BTW.

All the shots look great and the control of focus seems spot on in all of them to date. I don't see anyone whinging about the lack of a OVF either. So how does the LCD come up in the sun?
