Hard to say really since there were so many people there taking pictures anyway, iPhones all the way up to FFs with flashes. I find the shots I take of people with my Q to be the most inconspicuous though. I suppose in terms of street style photography the K-01 wouldn't get nearly as noticed as a full on DSLR but again I tend to lean more towards the Q for that sort of thing. Thanks for the feedback!
One thing I just noticed on the girl in black: there's a little bit of motion blur (most evident on her badge) because of the low shutter speed. The ISO is only 800 - was that intentional? For indoors shooting, I'm usually comfortable with the K-01 going up to ISO 3200 (something I never could do with my older dSLRs!).

Yeah. I screwed up on that one. Really should have been shooting at a higher ISO. I really like the rest of the pic though so a blurry badge doesn't ruin it for me.

Playing around some more with Selective Color on a number of my older (November) shots that I never bothered to develop. Let me know what you guys think.

I think the red is distracting, I'd leave only the lock in color, it will draw the eye that way. Right now, my eye just bounces between the red, which takes away from how good the photograph is.
That little bit of color on the lock alone would draw the eye to it immediately, if not for the red distraction.

Thanks for the feedback! I find the red frames the subject and guides the eye along the chain to the lock but I get what you're saying.

Been neglecting my Rokinon 85mm f/1.4 which is a wonderful lens so I took it out onto the patio and back yard for a bit of a work out. Feedback is appreciate.

I'm beginning to really like my K-01 as a platform for bird photography. With my Tamron 70-300mm and high ISO capability my chances of capturing avian activity in the garden have so much improved. In fact I now prefer the 70-300mm over my Sigma 120-400mm which used to be my favoured lens, but with the ability to crop the 70-300mm photos much greater with the extra pixels and good results at ISO1600+ I don't need to have the camera on a tripod anymore. Just grab and go. Both of these at ISO1600:

That first bird shot is really nice! Need to get a decent telephoto lens one of these days. Do you know roughly how much your Tamron goes for used?

Thanks for the kind comments.

The Di LD version of the lens (which is what I have) had a reputation for Purple Fringing on the K10D/GX10 and other subsequent Pentax cameras. However, I have found this to be much less prominents with my K-01, and it has always had a reputation for sharpness.

I bought my lens new as part of a deal when I bought my K100D in 2007. It cost me £99 then. Looking at Ebay (USA site) you can get them new for around $199 new:

Tamron 70 300mm 1 2 F 4 5 6 Di LD Macro for Pentax AF with 6 Year USA Warranty 4960371004815 | eBay

The cheapest used price I saw was $142 (supplied from the UK where it is £89)

Tamron LD A17 70 300mm F 4 0 5 6 AF Di Lens for Pentax 0725211177128 | eBay

But I know I have seen it go for a cheaper price in the UK from time to time.

Thanks! I will look into it further.

Anyone else have suggestions for sharp Telephoto lenses that work well with the K-01 and are affordable?
