At this point, if I had to choose between my K-01 and K-5, I'd probably choose the K-01. Both with the Tamron 28-75 f/2.8.

Thanks tdmsu, that was at a place called The Hui, on Maui. Its dedicated to the arts and hosts many art/photo/etc. events. A great place to check out what the k-01 can do, very happy with the camera IQ
I can see why it would be a gathering place... I am inspired by your images, so I can imagine what actually being there must be like!

Very nice! Especially that first one although I would have tried to get the light on her face instead of her shirt but that can be fixed in editing. The DA70 is great but I've always wondered how the FA77 stacks up against it since I definitely prefer the FA43 over the DA40.
Thank you.

Re: 77ltd

If you're going to use it for the K-01, the DA 70mm will have the advantage of the quick shift feature (to reset focus).

This is true but I honestly do not miss having it when I'm using the FA 43 and I'm mostly interested in IQ and how the 77 stacks up against the 70. Either way I plan on eventually owning the the 31 and the 77 along with the DA 15.

Another nice shot by the way!

Two nice shots, Designosophy. That Tamron is a sharp lens.

Thanks Kain for the input on firmware update. I installed version 1.03 on my K-01 and noticed much faster auto focus. Even better was focusing with low light and with
lower contrast. A lot less 'hunting'. Interesting I couldn't get the necessary .bin file from Pentax USA site. Had to go to Pentax Japan and all was well. Recommend that
anyone with a K-01 install this firmware update. Thanks again.

Here's one from today. I was out trying out my S-M-C Tak 50/1.4 on my K-01 for the first time. This was shot at f/2.

Jani80, that's a truly great shot!

I'm constantly being amazed how great that 35mm 2.4 lens is, what a fantastic piece of kit, especially when paired with the K-01, it's a killer combo.

40XS via Sweet 35

I have found another forte of the K-01: LensBaby photography! The K-01 focus peaking and the whole LensBaby MO go together like, well, you know. This with Sweet 35 and 16mm extension tube.
