Or I have a problem and admitting it is the first step. I have the super sturdy one for telephoto work not too far from the truck, One is a bi-pod really with the option for a 3rd leg if needed, one for macro that lets me get real close to the ground (I don't remember the last time I took a real macro shot) and then an all purpose set of 055 legs that are kind of all purpose. Each one has a purpose and now that I think about it I haven't spent more than $200.00 on all the legs together.

Hey, Salagubang, I have a K-01 and a DA70mm too, and my pictures don't come out nearly as good as yours!

Very, very nice.

Keep them coming.

That's absolutely gorgeous, David.

And shot with an old Takumar.

Was at the beach looking for something special and it was right under my feet.

Came back later to get a shot of the lighthouse during sunset.

Here's a B&W version as well. I think I prefer the color but let me know what you think.

Forced myself to shoot with the DAL 55-300 which was kind of awkward since I mostly use primes but it seems like a pretty good performer overall.

Woke up rather early today so I decided to catch the sunrise at the local Catholic church. Couldn't get any photos of the church back-lit but I did get this one at around 7:15. Considering the religious nature of the shot I decided not to hold back on the Post Processing which was done in LR4. Taken with the FA 43 Limited.

Also decided to give it the old monochrome treatment to infuse it with a different vibe. Let me know what you think.

Nice dynamic range extracted from those clouds I like that one...still using Silver Efex for B&W? I have some similar shots taken at some old cemeteries from when I was back in California...considering the historical age of Florida there are probably an abundance of such places here.

On another note, I found this guy wandering around the street out in front of our condo this morning and before taking him to the pond out back of our complex I ran inside to grab my k01 for a few quick ones. I've seen enough dead and ran over turtles and tortoises on the side of the roads and highways here in Florida to let it risk the same fate. His shell was about 14-15" long.

The contrast in the monochrome version certainly brings out the detail in the statue, and a sense of drama to the background. Whereas the color version is much softer and invokes a more serene atmosphere. Personally, I prefer the monochrome. Nice shot!

Thanks! Yeah, I still use SEP2 for the B&W shots. That's a pretty epic turtle!

Another entry into my abstractions collection. Call this one Circular Gilding. Took it today in Downtown Ft. Pierce using the FA 43.
