robtcorl: I think the B&W works well - I like it. But the first and last shots are really screaming out for HDR, which would make them much more interesting by showing the internal structure of the bridge. IMHO, of course. That last one would also possibly be better served by a slightly wider lens (or moving back), I think, which might allow you to show both the left external and the right internal wall, along with the whole facade. Just my (very amateurish) $0.02.

Nick, nice work, I enjoy your PP. Which app do you use ? Would you be willing to tell us anything about your workflow ?
hi roger, thanks!

well, my workflow is quite simple, i'm using Lightroom 4 with a bunch of free presets. My favourites are the onOne presets, they are available for Aperture also.
For this picture I used the Yellow-Cross Process preset, I just like how it renders on night and snowish scenes

The unprocessed picture looks like this :

Thank you for your comments!
Composition is a weakness for me, no artist eye.
I do like some subtle HDR, just need to learn how to do it right.
This shot, with the K-01, was in HDR, and a little post work in Picasa, and I still don't like it.

A rather successful lighting attempt, I would say.

Nice B&Ws. For wide open at 1.2, those shots look great.

Nice job with PP, it really gives the photo more life compared to the original unprocessed one.

Interesting framing on the first and the textures of the second one are very nice.

Thanks! Your shot gives me a kind of steam-punky vibe which I like.

I love, love, LOVE my DA 40 ltd, but still warming up to the K-01... One thing that I hate is that my finger is just a tad short to reach the shutter button comfortably.
