Great to see. I'm from Nashville, and have seen some family shots, but these give another dimension that I am very glad to see.
I think I might go back before it closes in November when the weather is cooler to see it again. It's really neat.

You guys impress me. I don't seem to be able to repeatedly have clear, in-focus pictures. Need to play with the settings a little more...

gda13 what are the WB and Image settings used?

The first is a long exposure @ 15 seconds, f/16 with "Auto" white balance and A. Priority. The pano is taken with 8 vertical images stitched, Manual setting, "Daylight" white balance (in camera), 1/6 second @ f/16. Mono processing done in LR and Nik. Hope this helps and please excuse the abbreviated response but I'm pretty deep in the books until next weekend

I can tell by that first photo the Autumns wherever you live must be quite spectacular in terms of foliage colors. I'll be looking for your pics during the upcoming season. BTW cool looking pooch as well.

I really like this! Would not have thought to do a B&W on a rose, but it works wonderfully, IMHO.

As for me, the Tamron 90 purchase is working out pretty well.

The first of these shots is using just the Tamron 90mm with natural light, and the three others are the Tamron plus 50mm of tubes and a homemade flash diffuser. I'm actually pretty proud of this last shot, and of being able to get the camera (with flash diffuser) so close to this (very small) damselfly. It landed around me a couple of times, as I was very still, and after it captured some lunch, it apparently made up its mind that neither me nor the camera were a threat...

Gorgeous colors up that way; down here its all green all the time...just pines, cypress and oaks primarily with some palms along the coastal areas.

Thanks for the compliment. You should be very proud of that last one, it is brilliantly colorful (love the color in its eyes), sharp, and a testament to your patience. Perhaps I'll start a bit of bug hunting myself sometime in the future.
