Lachlan as Samuel Barnes in Willow Blues

The reasons I bought a K-01 were the top of the line (at the time) sensor in a relatively light weight body at a bargain price. I have not been disappointed, but am still looking to trade in everything for a K-50 or K-3 (if I can afford it).
Good sensitivity permits flash-free shots of my kids and others on stage, although modern multi-colour LCD lighting is a white balance and exposure nightmare.
This shot is at 6400 iso and technically imperfect, but captures the emotion of a little boy singing his heart out.

From today's dog walk.

We had a little bit of light today. A good day to stick the K-01 and 40XS in my pocket....

Starting out, you gotta have a ball

At the lookout...

Tripper checking out the view...

All together now...

Fantastic! I love them all, but the last one especially. We had three dogs for a good decade, I know the feeling, part of the pack, and hopefully always the leader!

We have so many paths and variations of route, Tripper often goes on ahead, but he waits at every cross road. He stands 40 feet down the fork in the road he wants to take, but he's happy to go either way. Here he is this morning "down at the cross roads". We didn't go his way, maybe this afternoon.
