Actually, I now own it (since about a week or so) and it works great. The adapter that plugs into the dummy battery also works on the K5-3 SLRs, too.
Colour me Jealous - it'd be so damn useful when doing video.

I'm glad to hear that it works well. You are the only I know of who actually bought it.
It was kind of pricey, which may scare many off. I have since seen and purchased for comparison a knockoff of the basic adapter without the dummy battery for next to nothing on Amazon. However, the Pentax model seems to have a lot more guts. I would feel better trusting the more expensive models like the K3 to the Pentax.

The advent of wireless cards makes these attractive to me. For the K-01, I have always used an EZ-Share, so I never have to disturb the setup on the tripod now to download and view, and now I do not have to change the battery. The wireless systems work best if the camera stays on. That is harder on the battery. On the K3, using the Flucard is a definite drain, and the battery issue makes it harder to set it up to catch birds out the back window.

K-01 and Sigma 10-20 - good combination!

I'm far from being experienced in architecture photography, but I really enjoyed shooting these.

Nice photos Rondec, as always!
We could do a fine book titled "The best from the K-01" based on the photos included in this thread

Hi Caver, I like your nice colorful and wide shots.
How do like using the sigma 10-20 on the K-01? Is it the HSM version?
How good is the AF?

Salut gt6plus, merci, glad to hear you like them!
The Sigma used for these shoot was the older version, the SIGMA 10-20 mm f/4-5.6 EX DC ("screwdriver" AF).
The AF With the K-01 was generally fair, hunting sometimes in the darker places (which is not something unusual) - where prefocusing manually (and focus peaking) was a big help.
Working from tripod, (mostly stopped down at least to F11) with plenty of light for the majority of the scenes I had no problems at all, it was a good experience.
