K-01 Prime Speeds

Hello Everyone,
What are you experiencing with your AF speeds with your new k-01? I am curious as to how all of the primes are focusing. For me the new 40mm xs and the 15mm ltd work well while the 35mm macro ltd is pretty bad. What are your experiences using the FA's and DA's? Please post your experiences.

At first glance our DA 55mm seemed to work well. We haven't tested this lens extensively, though.

Is there any difference with the 35 in normal vs macro?

We haven't tested the 55 enough to draw a conclusion. It's not a zippy lens, regardless.

The DA 35mm F2.4 AL appears to get to focus quickly .. of course I only notice when a lens is sluggish.

I am carrying it around to just get comfy with the K-01 and my pet glass, as I did with my K5 and Kr. Today it's bright sun and 80f here.

I've used the DA15, DA21, DA40 (both flavors) and DA70. Of those, only the DA70 has hunted at all, and that was in a dark room in the house at night.

I'd still consider the above my "first impression" as I've only had it a couple of days, and it's been raining the entire time.

31 ltd is OK, but not as fast as the film bodies, goes out and back in... I really like it,but very limited use so far. Great size and the screen is very usable.

Not to imply anything but ---- do note that default is Face mode focusing.

So eager to read the Adam's review to get clues and benchmarks to compare.

Well, above all, I consider this a "point and shoot" camera, so face mode makes sense. Of course, I set my to selectable focus point like on my K5. But I'd love for the face mode to be the default in Green Mode so when I hand it to a friend to snap a shot, they won't have to worry about anything. I have my Pen set up like that, and it will even still capture raw+jpeg in their iAuto mode. Very handy!

EDIT --- Just checked, and yes, in Green Auto mode, face detect AF is the default, and it still shoots raw+jpeg. That's exactly how it should work in my opinion. perfect!
