Hey now, you're insulting one of my brood!!

It is rather a strange design. I wonder what was the thinking of the flash shoe over on the right although it might be a lot better there for reducing that 'deer in the headlamps' flash look.

I still keep looking at that yellow & black K-01 and thinking, "It doesn't look bad!"
Click "Lenses" in my sig. Look left of F35~70 | F70~210. Mint. Complete Kit.

Well I don't know the REAL origin, but in the 70's I was a Cheerleader at University of Virginia, Ga. Tech was a rival, and on our side of the field Ramblin Wreck had to do with Engineers, speaking English and alcohol consumption.

And before you issue some broad riposte, I am old enough now to admit I was a cheerleader - and my partner was a cute blonde. So there.

Impressive. Mine is just an old second or third hand one, still works though.

Any idea why the flash was mounted on the right?

The "ramblin' wreck" is an old timey jalopy car, like a Model T; and I suppose the song perhaps refers to Georgia Tech students being handy with keeping things like cars running and the like. Georgia Tech did, after all, originally start off as the North Avenue Trade School.

- Dorothy, former student of heated rival school University of Georgia
Ah, thank you for the enlightenment!

Pretty much the same reason one would use a flash bracket - offset flash makes the face look better; easier to balance. I actually like it. Continued on the PZ-1/1P (some call these the epitome of Pentax AF film cameras - even above the MZ-s).

I bought the camera kit for next to nothing here in order to get the lenses. It works perfectly and the lenses are sublime.

Harumph, you needn't be so cavalier about it...

Segment was "How to best find a marriage partner."

A show about top 5 ranking of how to best meet a marriage partner (for the single men TV personalities).
#1 was to go to a Cat Photography event according to the show.

Cats are walking art. Many animals are cute, pretty or handsome as the case may be but a cat doing the simplest of things is a picture of form, shape and color worthy of a museum.

So we can assume that you have at least a small liking for cats then?

Uh yeah, you could say that, laugh. I like cats both aesthetically and as fur persons, yes. Big ones, small ones, I can't keep away. I've been around them all my life. I actually do most of my volunteer work for a couple of cat shelters and a sanctuary. I haven't been to the big cat one in a while but I'm actually supposed to go and take some pics of a couple of new additions soon. I can't wait. I love photographing cats but when I get a chance to photograph the big ones it's huge treat. It's not like at the zoo where they're all behind glass. I'll get to interact way more. I'll probably get some really nice pics there, and yeah, I'll likely be walking into a big cat area to do it, albeit with a trainer. I'm hoping I'll get to do more than just take pics actually. Don't get me wrong I have a very healthy respect for any cat that can kill me with one bite, but I know the rules and I'm just dying to pet a tiger, lol.

I like most animals better than most people actually. I also do some work now and again for a big bird sanctuary and I used to ride now and again. I like horses, dogs, rodents, things like rabbits and ferrets, reptiles, just about all kinds of animals except maybe bugs and I still like to look at those sometimes unless they're the type to sting or bite me unprovoked. Cats are by far my favorite animals though. They are not only lovable but they are to me very much aesthetically pleasing. I think as animals go they are exceptionally elegant creatures and while not all cats are graceful most are absolutely beautiful to watch and I never get tired of photographing them.

Cats of all kinds, they basically own me, sigh, and they know it too. The little furballs take shameless advantage of me, always....
