Not so much a setting but a useful feature to know about:
The SR is disabled when the 2 second release delay is selected with the right arrow button.
So no need to disable SR when putting it on a tripod.

The noise reduction settings only apply to jpeg files, so I tend to shoot jpeg+raw with aggressive noise reduction scaling up from nil at 1250 to maximum at 25600. That way I have the choice between unadulterated raw files I can manipulate in post and in-camera corrected jpegs. IMO it is better to have a usable file than none at all.

I usually keep it to auto, I mostly shoot raw and at lowest ISO (lowest ISO number has lowest noise) anyway.
There is also dark frame noise reduction - this works a little differently and I keep it "on". What this does is, after a long exposure, it takes an equally long exposure with the shutter closed, and then subtracts that noise from the photo it just took. So its useful for long exposures, if you don't do the dark frame subtraction yourself, with special software.
