I have been using my SMCP-A 50mm f1.2 lens on my K-01. Like other manual lenses, I have been enjoying using the screen and focus peaking. I would say overall I am getting a better ratio of "keepers" using the K-01 than using it with the OVF on the K-05. That said, I don't think there's every a 100% solution to using any lens at f1.2. The examples below were all shot handheld. It would have been easier to use a tripod because even a slight move of my hand moved the thin plane of focus.

So in summary, my opinion is that the K-01 is a great tool to use with manual focus lenses and the A 50mm f1.2 is no expection. That said, shooting at f1.2 will always have its challenges.

Thanks for the review. Some people seem to think the K-01 would not be able to focus well without the use of a OVF but with focus peaking it's a joy to use with my MF lenses.
