raw burst rate

guys,

I just myself a new K-01 and I find it a very capable camera.

The only thing that is seriously putting me off is the 1fps at raw.

Is there anyway to increase this speed? I already bought the fastest SD card available (sandisk 90MB/sec class 10).

Is there any settings that can help?

Not in raw- you've got to shoot in jpeg to get a higher framerate. This is just one of many seemingly-intentional limitations that the K-01 has, as its new processor is more than capable of handling higher raw framerates.

1 fps is really slow. I am not hoping for things like 10fps.... 2fps would be much better.

Now that the K-01 is getting a new lease on life and more people are actually using this camera thanks to the low price, I would love to see Pentax release a firmware update that "unlocks" at least 3fps burst shooting in RAW. The image quality from the K-01 is so much better in RAW that I would rarely take it out of RAW mode. The fact that so many competing mirrorless cameras can shoot in RAW with burst speeds of 3fps or more is reason enough for Pentax to tweak the firmware so the K-01 can handle burst shooting in RAW.

One frame per second isn't burst shooting ... I can manually press a shutter button faster than that.

If you use exposure bracketing in RAW mode, it does it a whole lot faster than 1fps. And with the 1.02 firmware there is also almost no lag from being able to take another bracketed shot right away.

Pentax really just needs to unlock the lame 1fps limit on continuous shooting on the K-01 as well as up the limit from 3 to at least 5 for bracketing.
