Interested to see K-01 + Limited shots

It would be a great chance to pick up the hobby after seeing some Pentax advertising on my android phone.

This camera does look compact and small to carry around most time. I am very curious if anyone has photos to share using ltd lenses.

Thanks for your time

I had a look in that thread already. Only hoping to see specific limited lens shots.

So you would like us to go out and shoot heaps of extra photos for your benefit, rather than actually *looking* at the thread above, which contains literally *dozens* of shots taken with limited primes?

Read the text. Open the EXIF data. It's all there.

There's a Pentax K-01 group on Flickr. Probably quite a lot of shots on there are using the limited lenses. I've so far used the 15mm, 21mm, 35mm f2.8 and 40mm DA Limiteds, and the D-FA 100mm f2.8 macro, and the results are good. TBH, I wouldn't really want to use a zoom on the K-01. Just me, but I think things might start to become a little unwieldy with a big zoom whereas the Limiteds are a great fit. Just framed an 18" x 12" exhibition print of one shot and the quality is great.

Wait, do you want photos taken with a K-01 and limited, or photos of a K-01 with a limited mounted on it? I think therein lies the misunderstanding

Further, do you mean DA Limited or FA Limited?

Hey Roentarre,

Here are three pics. None is a show off photo but you wanted something to see...

First pic of the burned forest is K-01 with the FA31 Ltd shot at f.13 (typically I and others would shoot this at a wider aperture to slowly blur a nice bokeh dissolve of the distant trunks. But I was trying to get the number of trunks to jump out and emphasize the huge number of burned trees so used this lens stopped down since it "hides" diffraction effect very well.)

Second is a wide view of two lady slipper orchids shot with K-01 and 15 Ltd shot at f8. Probably would have been better opened up a bit to defocus the background more, wanted to assure the two blooms were both sharp and at just 8 or 9 inches from the blooms the depth of field was fairly tight on the main subjects...oh well.

Third is a "record shot" of a lady slipper orchid with a small wasp joining the fun. Though this is not an artistic image, it's the type commonly shot for field guides or natural history publications. Shot with K-01 and not a limited but the FA*200/4 Macro.

I've been shooting more video with the K-01 as back up for the stills...and like that option...

If you're wanting to see DA Ltd lenses on the K-01, I made a set of them here:

Pentax K-01 lens comparison - a set on Flickr

Here are a few samples:

You can look at my Flickr stream and see pretty much any of my K-01 shots. They are all taken using a DA limited lens (or the 40XS, which I had for a couple of weeks when I first bought the camera).
