Can I use AA's in a K-01?

Going to pull the trigger on a K-01 soon... curious if I can use AA batteries in it with an adapter. Would be a shame for those eneloops to go to waste...

Charles.

'Fraid not. The K-01 uses the bigger Lithium battery, same as the K-5, not the thinner one in the K-r/K-30.

No AA's for the K-01, unfortunately. The K-30 can take AA's via an optional adapter, and the K-5 can take AA's via the grip.

From my experience, the K-01's battery life is pretty great, even compared to K-r. Considering the K-01 is constantly in live view, it is much better.

I thought the k-5 could also take the adapter? Or is that incorrect?

I'm pretty sure it can't. Its battery slot has an entirely different shape.

Pentax K-5 AA Batteries in the D-BG4 Grip Example Video

According to Scott at Photographybanzai, the battery tray in the D-BG4 takes (6) six AA batteries in the grip. Please see the video link above for more information.

Thanks,
Wayne.

Thanks - I'll have to definitely get the battery grip then, when I get the k-5II.
