K-01 video with manual lens?

Hi K-01 owners!
So now that the K-01 is ridiculesly cheap I am very interested in getting one as a back up camera, but also mainly a video camera for use with short films for youtube.

I am should also mention I might be jumping ship in the near future to another camera maker, so while I would keep the K-01, I would sell all my newer lenses and mainly use the k-01 with my vintage lenses. My question is how well does the movie mode work with the old M lenses? Is it easy and give you good options? Or is it difficult and highly limited in options?

If video production is your primary concern, you are still (unfortunately) going to be better of going with a used Canon SLR, such as a T2i. It may cost you slightly more money, but it will offer your greater control and quality.

You still get everything in video mode with manual lenses, minus AF.

With Canon, you will have access to Technicolor and Magic Lantern software, both of which greatly expand the abilities of the camera. Neither is available with Pentax.

I may end up going cannon, but this would be for a second shooter, even for the video, and for video projects that do not require much post work. I believe I can sell my da40 and get a K-01 with a da40 for about $120 more than the sale price of the DA40!

That is pretty awesome. Are you talking about the 40XS? My only concern with it, if you intend to use it for video (and it totally depends on what type of video you are talking about), is that lenses that are physically short are difficult to use with a follow focus. Still, that is an amazing deal. I would love to own that lens. And every other lens in the world.
