K01 metering with M and M42 lenses

I just had to play around with my new K01 using my old M SMC 135 3.5 lens and as far as I can tell it seems to meter much more accurately and consistently at different apertures than with my old K10d. I haven't tried with any of my M42 lens yet but I'm wondering if anyone else has had good luck with these old lenses?

I'd expect it to be better, since it isn't metering light bouncing off a mirror and through a non-linear focusing screen.

I've noticed that on my K-r live view metering is better than regular Av mode metering when using m42 lenses, so I would expect the K-01 to be at least as good as the K-r in LV if not better

Most but not all of my M's seem to underexposure around 2/3rds of a stop on a K-x. This is fairly consistent so give the shutter control dial a couple of clicks immediately after hitting the green button to decrease shutter speed, and generally good to go unless a difficult metering situation. Don't use live view that much, so haven't worked out if it is better at determining exposure or not. Where I do using LV, which is tripod based evening exposures, I find about 1 stop underexposure even with modern lenses once I get to 1-2+ seconds shutter times.

Compare the shield around the aperture lever, the Sakar might have a bigger shield that causes problems on newer bodies. This shield can be completely removed on many lenses, it shouldn't affect anything if left off, but some people trim it and reinstall it.
