Wonder how this would look with the Black/Silver K01 and Silver Limited (The Zebra CZ would take top honours I feel)
I think the turret will look great on your silver/black camera since the turret IS silver and black .

Couldn't resist adding to the pile of pics! Some of your K-01s look fantastic!

Here's my new baby wearing an FA 43mm, a Sigma 24mm and a Sigma 400mm.

What's the handling like with the Tamron 28-75? Do you find it too heavy given the lack of grip on the K-01 compared to dslr bodies?

Actually, the 28-75mm Tamron is my favorite lens on the K-01. It's on there more often than the 40mm XS or virtually any other lens. The only time I plunk the 40mm on is when I need to be extra portable or extra light, and don't want to carry a big homely bag around. The best part is... CDAF means there's no front/back focus problems with the Tammy! I rarely used it on my Kx, because of the varying amounts of front focus couldn't be adjusted out with the debug menu. (needed different focus adjustments at wide and tele, and even at different distances from target). I had been looking for a Tokina 28-70mm f2.8 to replace it, because those aren't known for front focusing like the Tamron is... but now this lens has a completely new lease on life.

I find the camera to be well balanced with this lens. It's just about as heavy as the body, and it feels good. Yeah, it's a little heavy, but I like that. It feels like my old K1000. Heavy, but robust. I only wish the camera looked more the part. If they release a K02 with the MX-1 styling, I might even pay full price for one... ESPECIALLY if it's brass!

Charles.

K-01 will be accompanying me Sunday on a "photo safari" in the city.
Think I'll attach a hand-strap to it and bring along the DA* 50-135, A 50 2.8 Macro, and DA 40 Limited.

The more I read about the K 01, the more pictures I see of it and by it the more I begin to feel that I want, Nay, make that NEED one, in YELLOW!! To express my inner child, or some such. Bwahahahahaha! Maybe its time to adjust the meds....?

I can always call it a somewhat delayed mid-life crisis. And the photo hobby is cheaper than collecting cars, serious bass fishing, and is both cheaper and safer than a mistress.

C'mon folks! Help me further convince myself!

You can always sell the 40XS lens to recoup some of the cost. I just did and now my K-01 cost me ~$150

That looks nice, with the Limited on there.

Somebody should make a faux plastic "Unlimited" shroud that screws onto the 27mm threads on the XS lens, and sticks out a little bit and has some fake-engraved lettering to make it look like a Limited. I'd buy that for a few bucks.

Now, if you want to dress it up... | Flickr - Photo Sharing!
That's a Carl Zeiss Jena (aka Praktica) lens! Now a real Carl Zeiss, that would be porn.

Mandatory selfshot. What I only just noticed is that by looking closely at the lens, you can see the reflection of a reflection of me... Loving the K01!
