^ That lens looks quite nice on the K-01 .
How's the quality?

WOW ... nicely done .
That was my plan all along (get all the K-01 bodies) but never got to make it happen ...

Haven't done any serious shooting with it on the K-01, yet; some of the test shots I took didn't look bad, although there were some light spots that could be flare. Some of the flat black paint inside the lens barrel has flaked off, leaving the metal showing through; however, since all the optics are up at the front end of the lens, I may be able to fix that. (Some of the stuff I read about it online suggested that the front half with the optics can be unscrewed from the back half, and in that case it probably wouldn't be hard.)

My K-01 isn't new, but I think it's still beautiful.

This is with the Schneider-Kreuznach Retina-Tele-Xenar f/4 135mm. I've compared that lens to the Super Takumar f/3.5 135, and to my eye they are very similar in results. Unfortunately, the Tele-Xenar has a minimum focus distance of 4 meters--about 14 feet--a good reason to use the Tak instead.

Well, I was sort-of a feeling guilty for not using my K-5 for so long so I've decided to dedicate my K-01 for a specific task.
Decided to dedicate it for macro photography only

Sooooo ... upgrades on my K-01 - I'm still waiting for one more part.

What part are you intending to add?

A flash mount. Not sure how it will work out - still waiting for the part. As soon as I get it, I'll post some updates on how well it works .

Do you mean a flash bracket?

This is my macro rig. I have a K-01, VF3 and D FA 100mm macro that I will be trying in this setup when the weather improves.

Yea, I guess I worded differently in there... it is a bracket but a little different.
You can mount 2 flashes on it. As soon as I get it I'll make some updates.

You got a nice rig over there .

Cool! Two flashes should make for some nice lighting effects.

It does work well, but it was luck that I ended up with this rig. I bought the flash bracket and a regular flash cord, but the cord didn't work. I went to the local Henry's store and was shocked to find they had a P-TTL compatible cord, with a swivel on the flash shoe. The swivel is what allows me to angle the flash downward toward a macro subject.

My K-01 is not new, but the Pentax A 50/1.7 is new to me.
Like new condition, and got it on eBay for $30 including shipping.
A match made in heaven!
