Actually thought about importing the silver version for awhile and slapping the silver limited lenses on it but then I realized that that plan was not very cost effective. Still think it would have looked mighty snazzy though....

Same here I also tried to find a few silver view finders for it, but I went ot the dark side already.

While sitting on the fence about purchasing the Q, the K-01 with DA 40 XS popped up for $300. At that price, I couldn't afford not to buy it so I picked up the black one.
The yellow and white are cool-looking in their own unique sort of way but the only way I would have went for a colored K-01 is if they had a dark blue (to match my K-30) or dark red. Light/bright colors just aren't for me.

How do you like your blue K-30? Waiting for that one to drop down to around $500 next year. The pics of the blue seem pretty snazzy!

I now have two K-01 camerabody's. The second one is the classic black. It was a last sale from my camerashop and at an attractive price. It's for back-up and for timelapse. Not so pretty as my yellow one.

I love my blue one; I wouldn't want to switch back to a black DSLR.
It's a little something cool and different while at the same time, it doesn't stand out as much as a white (or yellow) camera.

Some blue K-30 camera porn is heading your way, hope you don't mind. I don't want to hijack this thread.

I bought a black. Wish I would have got yellow. The black looks like a playskool "My First Camera". The yellow probably would too, but at least it would look like I wanted it that way on purpose

Yellow! This is an AMAZING camera! A night photographer's dream! Just wish it had the remote plug. For now I can deal with the IR sensor with a fast and dirty mod...a spot mirror!

Got myself the white one. 90% of my cameras are black ... needed a change and the white will stand up really, really nice between them.
I was looking at the yellow brick ... but then I thought that maybe is a little bit too bold for me .

When I bought a black K-r, I later regretted not getting a fun colour. I now also have a yellow K-01
The yellow looks much better in person than it does on photos btw, so check it out at a store. When I shoot with the K-01 I generally get less strange looks than when I shoot with the K-r (K-r looks more pro, kind of threatening to non-photographers), but I get more strange looks from photographers. When I was on vacation with the K-01 some old man with a white beard and a huge Nikon DSLR with a huge lens on it was looking at my camera as if I came from another planet. Is that good or bad? Who cares, I like the yellow
