First Pictures with K-01

I got my new K-01 from Adorama yesterday. After 4 1/2 hours of battery charge time (I spent a good bit of that time reading the manual) I took a few inside pictures. Got outside this morning and took a few pictures that I've uploaded below. All were taken with the 40mm F2.8 XS lens.

First picture is cropped and is of an Egyptian Goose that hangs out nearby.

The Faucet picture was taken to practice using Focus Peaking with the OK button zoom feature. I really like this for insuring fine focusing.

The other two pictures were to test in camera HDR. I missed on the focus on the non-HDR picture (didn't use Focus Peaking) but wanted to see the effects of the in camera blending.

So, I've got my new camera and now have the challenge to get out there and shoot!

The goose is slightly out of focus (and slightly bemused, by its expression), but that faucet is very in focus

Yes, it will take some getting used to the focusing. Hard to get those fowl to hold still for portraits! Not a problem with the faucet and I did the FP on the lettering.

Congrats on your purchase, I too received my K-01 yesterday from B&H. Haven't had some solid time to take photos outside yet but I already love the thing based on indoor/low light performance. (Compared to my K200D anyways)
