K-01+ Loupe Type LCD Cover

Is anyone using one of the Hoodman type loupes over the LCD on the back, if so, which one. I don't plan on this being my primary way of shooting with it but thought it may be a useful accessory for some of the sunny days.

The Rode Stereo VideoMic works great on my K-01 just like it did on my K-7 . The loupe ( Meike MK-VF100) also works great and was purchased on ebay a few years ago.

I'm using the HoodLoupe 3.0 from Hoodman with my K-01 out here in the bright sun of Palm Springs CA. Perfect fit for the 3 inch diagonal LCD viewscreen of the K-01. I use the supplied lanyard to keep the Loupe handy. Gives a clear, glare-free view of the LCD screen so I can shoot in bright sunny conditions. Impossible without the HoodLoupe. The rubber coated body is slightly flexible and gentle natural pressure during viewing is sufficient to keep the Loupe in place. The HoodLoupe is surprisingly light and seems sturdy enough. What we might call good build quality. The eyepiece supports a +/-3 diopter adjustment, or just keep your glasses on while viewing. This gadget has made my "user experience" with the K-01 delightful in the daylight.

Don't have a K-01 however I use a zacuto z-finder pro with a K-5. Not the cheapest but it is high quality kit, I'd buy another in a heartbeat should anything happen to this one.

Hoodman loupe fits K-01 just fine. B&H was out of the attachment bands when I ordered so I substituted rubber bands and it works when needed. Not pretty, especially not with plain ol' rubber bands but perfectly functional.

I'm considering this one because it mounts to an ARCA-Swiss compatible plate and doesn't involve any adhesives or magnets. It's got a nice quick release and the whole thing can be taken off quickly to convert it back to stock. The neat thing about that is that I could also use it on my K-5 w/o having to buy another LCD mounting plate:

There are a couple of interesting videos on the site. The second one describes the unit in detail.

I was looking into the VF-3 for use with manual lenses on sunny days (something like the Rokinon 85 f1.4 for portrait type shots) and so far I really like the idea. Just don't have the cash yet, or the Rokinon for that matter. Seems extremely well thought out and totally worth the money though. Once I build up my collection of quality manual lenses I'll probably look into getting the VF-3.
