shutter speed question

i set my k-01 up in Av mode and with interval shooting but as the scene darkened the camera refused to lower the shutter speed below 1/25th even after pushing iso up to 25k (thus many black pictures)
I was surprised as the manual says auto shutter is from 30sec to 1/4000 and can't figure out why the camera wont drop the speed?

anyone have any ideas?

In video mode the minimum shutter speed depends on your framerate. So if you're shooting at 60 FPS, the minimum shutter speed would be 1/60s, and at 30 FPS it would be 1/30s, etc.

Dunno why I thought you were in video mode- but could it have something to do with the interval shooting?

I don't know, the manual is mum on any limitations that's why i decided to try to crowd source an answer!
it seems like such a strange limitation.

A good work around would go to manual mode or increase the iso until 1/25 would work

interestingly enough the k-01 appears to have a limit of 1/25 in any of the auto modes (P, Av, Tv).
what i find interesting is that i can find nothing in the manual about any limits. i wonder why this is limited?

Try this series…

Use the iso switch on the back of the camera. Instead of using auto iso, use the lower iso option and set it manually to iso 200. Also make sure that the flash setting are all turned off.
