Hand strap for K-01

Interesting... Combining BBQ and Photography together. Have you secured the domain www.BBQPHOTOGRAPHYWITHBLACKSTRAPS.com? Might want to jump on that before someone else beats you to it.

I suppose the K-30 would be a good choice. Are the weather seals BBQ sauce proof?

Another vote for Gordy's strap. I put one on my Q and it's just perfect.

I was looking for a strap on eBay for my K-01 and I am very intrigued by this:

I really like the base as well ... it can literally be used as a stand ...

Aww man, I wish you had posted that before I ordered one from photojojo.com. I got this one: The Handy Dandy Hand Strap - The Photojojo Store!

Will post a pic when it arrives. Got it on sale for $35 (not much of a sale, but still a sale)

Well, the nice part about the photojojo strap is that the base fits into a tripod mount. So that's nice, no need to swap stuff around.

Yes, the stand is very good.
I have the stand and it comes with another leather hand strap, not the one pictured.

You can mount the tripod on the stand. No need to remove the stand for that

Yeah, but the base plate on the photojojo hand strap attaches directly to an Arca quick-release mount tripod head. (60mm dove-tail). So, I never have to screw a plate on and then take it off again when I want to use the tripod.

Don't get me wrong, that stand is genius. But I just spend $35 on this strap, and not about to spend the same on another. However, had I seen that first I would probably have bought it.

How's the new strap?

I've seen similar ones on eBay... Love the look. I'm just not confident I will like the mount constantly attached.

Does it make your camera look and feel clunky? (More than it already is

)

No, my Tamron 28-75 makes the camera feel chunky. The strap so far I'm loving. Here's a photo:

It fits in the optio case with the 40mm XS on it, but with no room to spare for a battery. (Not a big deal, that's easily pocketable)

Here's a great deal on the excellent Pentax leather hand strap from Crutchfield. I have one on my K-5 and love it.
