K01 + 70mm Ltd - Good combo?

I'm thinking of picking up the 70mm Ltd for the K01 - just wondering from those with experience, is this a good pairing? Thanks.

Due to the lens's small size and relatively short AF throw, I would say yes. However, the FA 77mm would also be a great pick, as it's got more yummy bokeh:

The DA70 has been the most-on lens this past month with the K-01. Compact and very talented - I seldom use it above f/4. This is one of my recent favorites, shot at f/3.5. It was 1/16s and iso6400 so not deadly sharp, but images like this were inconceivable a short time ago... clearly I need to use it more in daylight for samples!

I have the 70 for my K-01 and even though I don't have a ton of experience with it yet (been mostly using the 21) I like it a heck of a lot and highly recommend it. I was after the 77 for awhile but it's just a little out of my price range and I think it's a little bit bigger than the 70 plus I like being able to switch to manual focus on the fly.

Yeah I feel the same way regarding the price range of the 77 and as an amateur myself, I'm sure the 70 will be more than suffice...

BigMike,
I have had my K-01 since last Thursday and have used the 21mm, 40mm, and 70mm Limiteds and I think they are all great. The 70mm is a short telephoto which is a good perspective for some scenic shots like this test shot I took to judge flare resistance and if there would be a problem with purple fringing. I think these are the areas that the 70 outdoes the 77, along with better edge to edge sharpness. If you plan on photographing people, than the 77 will give you a sharper center and slightly less sharp edges. YMMV.

I use FA*85mm on my K-01. That also works like a charm. I guess that all three mentioned lenses DA70mm, FA77mm and FA*85mm will work excellent on the K-01:

Yes from me too! I didn't really like the DA70 so much when I used it on my K-x but it is perfect for the K-01.
