So far, so good

I finally bought a K-01 once the price dropped to AUD299.00 (which I found out about in another PF thread). I've really only used it twice, both times as a glorified P&S that can be passed around at parties.

It works brilliantly in this capacity. The AF is admittedly a little slow, but this is more than made up for by the wonderful images it produces. And being mirrorless, people can shoot with it while remaining sociable. No need to raise it right to the eye, no formidable telephoto lens poking out the front.

I've set the green button to toggle focus peaking, and show people how to switch between auto and manual focus to take full advantage of the focus peaking. I'm getting a lot of comments about how "sexy" it is, and how easy it is to use.

The end result of passing the camera around like this is that I get it back with a wide range of shots that don't just reflect my memory of the party. It's shared, it's sociable, it works.

What a great idea, and for a great price. Thanks!
