I think this is the main thing. Put the camera (and lenses) in an airtight plastic bag when coming into a warmer place and leave it until it becomes room temperature on its own. Usually the plastic bag will change size when this happens, which is normal. Prepare the bag ahead of time and make sure your camera and lens(es) will fit. If you are using filters, don't screw them on too tight, since the temperature change is also a pressure change and it make the filter get stuck. This is nothing major, just an inconvenience, especially if you are using a thin filter (or rotating CPL).
When you are outside, you might want to shield the camera a little. I've been to Montreal, and I remember it as windy and cold
Thanks all. I like the plastic bag idea, and just used it after about one hour in moderate cold (-10C). I hadn't thought to do this for the camera, but I've also used this technique for other types of objects that I didn't want condensation forming on after coming out of freezing, and it worked there - the condensation forms on the outside of the plastic bag. I agree that a weather sealed camera/gadget bag should be good too...

i've been shooting in weather below -15C since the begining of winter in several occasion without any problem. Around rivers in cold temperatures where it got splashed with water droplets that frozed on the K-01.

I expect that camera to work very well in -20C or colder when keeping a warm battery in a pocket.

If some are interested you can read a post i did on my Blog on how to use you're equipment in cold weather:
Keep shooting in the winter and dress for it.

BTW i'm live in Montreal, Canada
