Is there a shutter lag like on P&S cameras?
I have a F 50 f1.7 lens do I really need the 40 that comes with the K-01.?

The shutter in the K-01 is pretty quick. The camera generally performs very well compared to compact cameras. Perhaps not as fast as equal or better mirrorless cameras, but it's quick.

The 40mm lens is for a different purpose than your 50mm. It's much much thinner, and can make the K-01 pocketable. If you don't care about size, then it won't gain you anything from your 50 F1.7.

Well I guess I'll order the Yellow one without the lens for $314.oo, Thanks for everyone's help.

One thing to keep in mind is that you can sell the 40 that comes with a kit for more than you paid for it, so you can try it out and sell it at a profit if you decide you dont want it.
