well - I decided the best way to see what the 1.4 FD lens I scored was really capable of doing was to buy a roll of film and shoot it on an old AE1 I had lying around - this has caused a huge desire in me to shoot film. I have been buying up vintage glass like crazy and a lot of them came with cameras, and complete kits. So, I bought myself a roll of film and went eenie meenie miney mo - loaded up the Me Super with 55mm 1,8 and off I go . Man, I've missed this feeling of film.

somehow, i missed your post. In going back through it though, you are not correct on light loss, nikon is 1/2 stop not 1 stop and the canon is 1 stop not 1.5 stops

Whatever. I just center the needle in the viewfinder...
