LCD screen protector for K-01

Do you have one for your K-01? If so, what type/brand?

And, is it even worth getting one?

Many thanks in advance!

I am so not a fan of screen protectors for cameras. A lot of them cause a slight moire effect when viewing images and, honestly, they are pretty well - built, those screens....

Docrwm suggested ACMaxx hard screen protectors to me for K-01 and Q. I've always used cut down left over PalmPilot soft protectors in the past, but they finally ran out. So far these offer complete protection, seem not to impair screen viewing at all, are custom fit specifically to K-01 (hand-written on the package) - they're really very good.

eBay ACMaxx K-01 Search

I also (accidentally) bought Vello Glass Protectors designed for 3" screens but haven't mounted them because the ACMaxx are perfectly sized.

This thread from July for the K-5 is informative on this verious brands- I believe the K-5 protectors fit the K-01.

Interestingly I've never used one on a phone, which should in theory be more prone to scratches and I'v enever had a scratch on a phone.

So very true.
I had bought a 3-pack-for-$1 of screen protectors for my iPhone off ebay, and I just trimmed one of them down to fit my K-5. I'd assume it'd fit on the K-01 too.
BUT, it makes viewing images on the lcd HORRIBLE. I can't tell if my pictures are blurry or if it's just the screen protector.
Probably what makes it worse, is I bought the anti-glare type, thinking that I'd be able to see the LCD better in the sunlight. Nope. Not worth it.

Better phones use Gorilla glass which is not easy to scratch - the cheapo screen protectors can be scratched much easily....

ACMAXX are very nice, offer real protection not just from scratches but from impact, and do not impair viewing whatsoever.

I have a glass protector. I like it just fine. I didn't use the camera in the sun without it, so I can't comment on the glare before/after. Amazon.com: Rainbowimaging Optical Glass LCD Screen Protector for Pentax K-7 Dslr: Camera & Photo

I use a nice LCD cover from Hoodman - the Hoodman Super Skins. I have had the original one on my K-01 since I bought it last May and it is still in good shape. I find no problems with making it more difficult to see the LCD screen. I understand about others feeling the LCD glass should be tough enough to go without a cover, but I just feel better protecting the LCD screen and it so easy to do so. I guess this is a similar discussion pertaining to protecting your lenses with UV filters - which I also do as well! I also have a Zagg invisible shield protector on my K5 IIs which is a little thicker, but needed to be cut to size. The 3 inch Hoodman is virtually like a custom fit for the K-01 and is also a dry application unlike the Zagg and a little easier to apply. Hope that helps - seems like there are a lot of choices.

I am using Delkin Devices DU3.0"-M
Not for its integral screen protector but for the hood.
The hood part is detachable for indoor use.

NO problem with focus peaking. This product is traded by a trusted (my own judgement) EBAY seller (Roxsen).
