A mysterious pixel!

Tonight, testing my old Pentax-A f/2.8 28mm lens for sharpness (it's VERY sharp, stopped down), I noticed a strange mysterious pink pixel. Glowing away, maybe a cosmic ray had struck my K-01's sensor? Or maybe this was some new sort of clever software enhancement -- to add a little sparkle?

And then I remembered, in the manual, 'Pixel Mapping'. Seems I had a Hot Pixel. What a shame, as I was going to sell the effect to L'Oreal as a makeup enhancement. But I ran the Setup 3 > Pixel Mapping thing, and... yes! The hot pixel just wasn't there anymore on the next picture. Not so bad, Pentax! Repel those alien pink-pixel invaders!

If you shoot RAW and process with Silkypix or Lightroom, Hot pixels are automatically removed.
