I've just went down the Yellow Brick road...

Look at what I got today! It arrived from Ace Camera, and I for it for 334 with the 40mm xs on it. I'm still irritated that Amazon cancelled my order, but at least I got one. My roommate also got in on the order and got a white one with the 40mm xs for the same price.

Congrats on getting the yellow K-01 at a great price! Must be sweet after all the frustration with Amazon. It's a great camera!

Of all us K-01 owners, you are at the style apex, the height of fashion! That yellow brick is truly neat.

I stuck my 150-500 on it. Let's just sat it was strange. With my 17-50 it's pretty good.

Okay, I went shooting with it some today. The images are nice and reasonably sharp, but the camera underexposes every time. Focusing on close things is best done manually it seems with the 40mm xs, and focus peaking is fun. Now I know to overexpose according to the light meter. Not having an OVF is strange. I keep wanting to put it to my face! I may take it out Sunday since it is not supposed to rain and do a a straight comparison with my K5.

Just some tips:

- operate the button with your thumb
- use fast lenses to give maximum light to the sensor for AF
- the best functionality is with lenses under 100mm
- set metering to centre-weight
- set SR to Always functioning (this does uses the battery)
- make a lot off images and it grows in your hands.

Enjoy!

Not to single centre point but the middel choice. It somehow is more balanced then to my opinion.
