shutter count conundrum

Okay--

So I got a second K-o1. I was shooting with the older of the two, then hot swapped the SD card to the newer one. The new camera is displaying the shutter count (over 19k...and I know that aint right, I only had the new one about a week) from the older K-o1 on the newer one.

How to restore correct shutter count on each camera?

Not that big of a deal, but something I like to keep track of.

Thanks!

Press Menu
Select camera setting 3
Select Memory >> 2
Select File No. and 'un check'
Format card
Take a shot and it will have reverted to 0001.jpg
Repeat above steps and re enable File No. memory

That's not the shutter count, that's the image count. For actual shutter count use this: Check Shutter Count & Camera Manufacture Date Online - EXIF Reader

+1 do not mix the shutter count number and the file name.

The shutter count is in the file EXIF as indicated by VisualDarkness.

As far as I know, swapping an SD card should not effect shutter count, only image count which is likely what the OP actually mean't. Or am I wrong cristigj?
