K-01 and heavy lenses

Just wondering if the K-01 is strong enough to support a heavier lens (e.g. Vivitar Series 1 70-200 f2.8-4) on a tripod without distorting the mount. Does anyone know?

Thanks

Huh. May heaviest lens is the Samyang 14mm (530 grams). While its a big awkward to use, especially because it is MF, I don't worry about it bending the mount. Not sure how much heavier the Vivitar is, though. A lot of heavy lenses also come with their own tripod mount and you might be able to purchase a "universal" one

I've used the A*300mm f4 (850g) on the K-01's tripod mount with no concerns.. I was surprised at how solid it was compared to my K20D. The K-01's metal body is considerably more rigid than the K20's poly bottom.
