Cleaning the yellow rubber?

I had to send my K-30 in for repair and I picked up a K-01 to use while it was away. Now the K-30 is (FINALLY) returning.
I was planning to give it to a family member, but the yellow rubber has become rather dingy. . .

Any ideas as to how to clean it up a bit?

I'd go to the auto store and get a vinyl-safe interior cleaner. You might also try an ammonia-free glass cleaner.

Try H2O first. Might just work, it did on mine.

Clean it with feeling, according to the rubber texture. Try a dry cloth first, then maybe a slightly moist one. Just don't get the whole camera wet and make sure it doesn't get in, not even one drop. Maybe remove the battery while you are doing this.

Don't clean it, it will just tell you story's over the years it is used.

I've used baby wipes, but I usually just use a little hot water and a napkin and it cleans up the rubber real nice, the mention of vinyl cleaner would probably work even better. I like the fact the grip is rubber, it makes it easy to clean.

A mix of wet (with H2O) paper towels and baby wipes seemed to have done the job well enough. Thanks for the tips!

Ron, while I would have done that (it would have been simpler) but the person who I was giving it to probably wouldn't have understood that the dirt had a few stories behind it...

can't clean the yellow brick

I bought a black leather strap and it leaves black marks on the yellow rubber and can't clean it off.
I tried a wet paper towel, a clorax wipe and even a Mr clean magic eraser and nothing.
I am not happy; it looks like crap.
Any suggestions?
