There are no electronic viewfinders, but there's a handful of ovfs, such as the one for the Q, that you can use with prime lenses.

I'll reply for Adam- They are usually set to a set FL- for example the Optical VF for the Q equates to about 43mm (35mm equivilent), Some Optical VF have crop lines on the finders to give you alternate framing for longer lenses- Remember you don't have to stick with Pentax aslong as it fits the standard flash shoe, pick one that matches your favorite walkaround prime and run with it.

Hey bud, there are a bunch of threads in this forum about viewfinders, people's experience with them, LCD hoods, etc. Feel free to make use of that resource

How intrusive is the SWIVI viewfinder? Does it allow you to mount your K-01 on a tripod still?

Not intrusive at all - I actually find it completes the K-01 in a way.
And yes, you will still be able to mount the camera on a tripod without a problem. It has a built-in slide-in tripod plate AND a normal screw-mount.

That is real cool, mainly as due to the arca-swiss plate AND it has a loop for a handstrap! , now a VF4 version.

Now THAT looks cool! Even if it does remind me of a pencil sharpener.

I have a Hoodman 3" loupe gaffer-taped to the back of my K-01. Not exactly normal-looking, but it works perfectly in bright sunlight. See pic below. Found that I don't need the rubber bands.

It also leaves the hotshoe free for a Pocketwizard radio-wireless-flash trigger... and, all of a sudden, the K-01 becomes an EXTREMELY useful brick.
