how does focus peaking works with k01

Is it useful only for MF lenses or it extend to AF lenses. I used a M lens with k5 but it did not work however it works well with k01.
any thoughts will be appreciated!

Focus peaking can be enabled regardless of the type of lens being used. Here's what it looks like:

Also, if you had trouble using manual lenses with your K-5, see this guide:

The K-01 is my only experience with focus peaking and so far I'm not thrilled with it. While it does show me what is in focus, it seems to throw in a lot of other detail which is just barely in focus for good measure.
I gather that cameras where the user has the ability to refine the sensitivity of the system are better and would hope Pentax might add that feature to firmware.

I find it works better when coupled with 2X MF magnification although it takes a little longer. I haven't tried focus peaking on other brands but the impression I get is that the Pentax implementation is slightly behind the state-of-the-practice.

I use 6x zoom in with focus peaking. Works great.

Not a fan, seems hit and miss. Never works well on the Q.
FP for video would be a fail as video on the K-01 is so bad anyway.
Haven't used other brands FP, so maybe it just PENTAX's implementation which is poor.

I find focus peaking basically only works (and badly) on telephoto lenses. Solution: Turn off AF and press OK to enable focus zoom and roll value wheel to select 2, 4, or 6 power and even use cursor to move around for off center focusing. "Happy focusing"
Anybody know of a hack to disable the sensor crop in film mode.

The shallower the dof, the better you get your works done with the focus peaking. So telelenses and fast lenses at short distance do help you the best.
