I think Pentax cameras quality is inversely proportional to their service quality in Europe. I've used the K-01 for two months which further increases the frustration of waiting. I couldn't find an alternative to replace the K-01, this is my ultimate choice. I'll report back when it arrives back anyway.

News! The reseller quickly gave me a refund on the K-01 soon as they found out my long repairing issue. The service almost never given adequate information about the status of my camera. I chose a new Pentax K-30 instead of refund, which arrived today. Everything seems allright for now except that i read those familiar problems occured with several K-30 owners recently: Camera shuts off and won't turn on until replacing the battery. I don't even dare to upgrade the firmware! However, i can live with a slow LV autofocus. I wonder how many of these new cameras have these issues.

Hm, I don't think that many cameras have issues. Its just that people with issues are more likely to find a forum and write about it. People who are satisfied have no reason to be as loud. I hope you have better luck this time. And I would still upgrade to the latest firmware eventually. Upgrades often have stealthy little fixes

I've seen things you people wouldn't believe. I watched C-beams glitter in the dark near the Tannhauser gate.. But i've never seen this much report of firmware bugs in various pentax threads so i'll stay with 1.0 until it really bugs.

Hello.

I still can't see a good answer to this problem.

And, I have the problem too.

Shutter curtain always closed, not working SR (only working in the Liveview mode, not when shooting), white stripe during burst mode.

What to do?
