Well, there are some listed on Ebay, and some in the wild (see below). But if any members have one, I want to know the date of manufacture!

I got mine today.

Ordered in Japan on August 22nd. I picked it up at the customs this morning, had to pay the tax and then it was mine.

One disappointment after unboxing. No battery.

I just contacted the shop. Hope they will send me the original D-LI90. If not, I have to buy one here in Germany with a price of about 55 Euro.

No idea when the smurf has been manufactured. The serial number at the bottom is 2565938.

Congrats Kepler! Bummer about the battery though. I've been resisting getting a (black) 2nd body for months now, investing what little I can in lenses instead... You can check the manufacture date and shutter count of your camera using this PentaxForums tool. Myself and likely others are curious about this because it will tell us if Pentax launched a new manufacture run for the blue K-01s or already had them sitting in a warehouse somewhere (or retro-fitted some white cameras with blue trimmings, which would be the same thing).

I'm pretty sure they planned and produced it as a limited edition from the beginning, like the silver K20D, K-7, K-5 and Q. The blue K-01 is only available in a few specialised camera stores, as far as I know. The big electronics stores aren't carrying it. It's a very limited release.
