Originally posted by Doundounba I love all these wonderful timelapses, and would like to try it myself with my K-01, but I had one quick question: in your opinion, is it necessary to shoot full resolution to make a timelapse movie? If the final result is going to be an HD video, shooting 16MP per frame seems like overkill, no? Shooting a smaller res (8 or 12MP) could save a lot of space and processing time. Is there a reason to shoot 16MP? Just wondering...
You're right.
Best to shoot 4mp JPG at 16:9
Even 4Mp is too large for a standard 1080p screen (2Mp).
Interval movie mode isn't as good. You have very little control on the output. I also find it jerky compared to creating your own timelapse from stills.
