Very interesting, it's like a pancake lens. Please post more pictures from this lens.

+1 I want to see how "unique" it looks at f/3.3.

I think I saw one at KEH this week. I wonder if you're the one who acquired it?

Jpg straight from the camera, f/8 Surprising center sharpness as old M42 super wides are not exactly known for being sharp.

I see on another forum some users of Pro Digital backs are having similar issues when using wide Medium Format lenses that were high quality on film.

Pixel Vignetting: What Causes Pixel Vignetting and Can You Avoid It?

The light from this lens hits the sensor at a very oblique angle due to its design. Film not so much a problem, but pixel sites don't deal with it very well. I do wonder what it would look like on 135 digital.

. . . still working on a full review with lots of pictures.

My review is up with sample images. It's also been added to Pentax Forum's database.

If anyone has ideas to improve or add to the review please message me.

Cool stuff.
I just wish Pentax would make XS lenses in this way. Something in the 20-28mm range, something in 70-85mm range.. and of course a new K-01

The lens looks nice but - compared to the usual selling prices the results are disappointing

Nevertheless Pentax should develop lens like this : 24/2,0 and something fast between 55 and 85
