K-01 Freezes on Menu Access

Camera works fine with one exception -- if I attempt to scroll, from either the top or bottom, through Page 1 of the leftmost menu tab the camera sometimes (not always) locks up. When this happens I have to remove the battery to get the camera working again.

Resetting the camera using the menu's reset command doesn't solve the problem.

Firmware is v. 1.02.

I'm about to send it in for service but thought I'd check here first. Does anyone know if this is a user-fixable problem?

Update your firmware to v1.04. Might want to try a reset to defaults first just to see if it helps, but certainly update firmware before you decide it is a permanent problem.
