From that list, I'd go with the 17-70. Quieter AF and a versatile, sharp zoom range is what it delivers.

I have a K-01 and the DA18-135mm is constantly on it. The combo is great, it gives superb pictures and I can recommend it very strongly after nearly 18 months.

Hope that the comment may help.

I have a K-01 and a Sigma 18-200mm F3.5-6.3 II DC OS HSM is always on it (my everyday lens). But note that it is the "II" version - currently about $300. It may not be on your list, but it has Sigma HSM reliability and is very sharp for a standard zoom.

From that list, I'd go with the DA 17-70 for the same reasons outlined by Adam above. I usually use only my DA Limited primes on my K-01. But I just ordered a DA 18-55mm II kit zoom from KEH because it's the smallest and lightest zoom at a low price.

A prime because zooms are awkward on a K-01.

But out of the ones you listed, a 17-70 would probably be your best bet for IQ.

I liked the 17-70 on the K-01. Good balance, focuses quickly and quietly, f/4 is adequate with focus peaking enabled.

Agreed! I only shoot primes with the K-01.

Search for a A50 f/1.7 for the best IQ on a K-01.
I travel with only the pancakes, the 40 would be a good all around lens IMO.
( I don't zoom or AF )
