K-01 Command Button popped off

The command button (cover) on my K-01 just popped off Well, actually the knob was turning slightly unsmoothly and it just lifted off. Not broken or anything. It looks like some light glue was supposed to hold it in place...

What type of glue should I use to reattach it? Contact cement? PICs:

this has not happened yet to my K-01 but now I'm getting a bit paranoid that it might happen eventually (I'm OCD by nature). Is there something that you and others are doing that contributed to the mode dial coming off? Or is it totally random?

Mine fell off about a month ago. I used a small amount of super glue to put it back on. Seems to be working fine. There are many people that have had this happen to them. It is too bad this is such a common problem on an otherwise well made camera.

Poor design, not tested well enough. Stupid to rely on a dab of glue for a quality consumer product like this.
I'll definitely pin mine should it come off again.

Just to say, I convinced my father to buy a K-01 when it was on super sale... and this knob fell off after a day of use!

(this was AFTER the first one he bought refused to do anything but Av mode... took it back to Adorama, but that made Pentax QC 0/2 in this case...)

And, just to add, I used a dab of Gorilla glue and it has worked perfectly ever since. Just be sure to use only a dab, otherwise you'll glue it in place!

Mine fell off as well. I only use it in manual mode. So I didn't put it back on.

Same here. Fell off a month ago. Super glue gel has worked so far.
