You may want to contact Ricoh directly about K-01 Repair. I just got mine back from Precision last month. Ricoh told me they had to start up a production run to make repair parts for mine. Sounds like you have the main board failure that mine had..

So they started production to fulfill your repair needs?

That is what they told me. That is why it took 4 months to get it repaired and back to me.

It's simply ridiculous to restart a production line that's been shut down for years just to run off one board. The retooling costs alone would be astronomical.

What production date does the EXIF data show? Even that may not be conclusive because it is possible the date gets changed if they reset the CPU board in the factory.

Wow, six years, amazing, mine is still working and I use it when I want the lighter weight than the K-50. Maybe I should think about a battery replacement I guess, batteries are not supposed to last this many years even if not used much right?

I take it to mean, PC board run, if the chips and boards are setting around that's not a big deal to run a few thru the line. If any part is unavailable then it would not be possible to do it so they must of had all the parts (100% of the parts).

When I got the Stormtrooper K-01 on fire sale, I had to make a Q Trooper, then the latest, K-S1 Stormtrooper.

Yellow K-01 is my main camera. I also gave up on AF and doing pure manual, and I am quite happy with the results. Its a shame no new mirrorless camera(s) are planned by Ricoh.
