Wow, six years, amazing, mine is still working and I use it when I want the lighter weight than the K-50. Maybe I should think about a battery replacement I guess, batteries are not supposed to last this many years even if not used much right?

What production date does the EXIF data show? Even that may not be conclusive because it is possible the date gets changed if they reset the CPU board in the factory.
I take it to mean, PC board run, if the chips and boards are setting around that's not a big deal to run a few thru the line. If any part is unavailable then it would not be possible to do it so they must of had all the parts (100% of the parts).
