How many colors did they make of the K-01, and has anyone owned one of each at the same time?

Five: Basic Black, Black/Yellow "Bumblebee", White/Black "Panda" (not sold in Europe), Silver/Black (only sold in Europe), and While/Blue "Smurf" (2013 limited issue in Japan only).

And you clearly haven't read through the entire thread:

well folks, about two months ago I bought a K01 from a forum member here only to discover it didnt work with my SDM lenses, so I regretfully had to return it, however for the few days I had it, I fell in love with the little camera using my manual lenses on it. I have recently found another one in mint condition with only 4400 clicks, and recieved it the other day, havent gone out shooting with it yet but I have put together a small starter kit with it, A28mmf2.8, A50mm f1.4, and 100mmTakumar (Bayonet), all in mint condition. Gonna be looking for more A glass for use with it.

I thought all Pentax bodies work with all K-mount lenses (*)

(*) with exception of KAF4 lens

Well it does have the contacts for the lenses to connect to and I verified if the body should work with the SDM lenses, turns out that there was something disconnected inside of the camera this not communicating with the lenses. My new K01 works great on all my lenses (sans the PLM)

I've owned the Bee and Bear.

I would love a silver copy some day to hide the duct-tape I would use to affix a 3" mirror along its bottom, which I can then tip back for a vertical 'viewfinder'

That's some ingenuity right there!
My Panda's birthday is in September... I brought it with me today (and remembered to charge the battery! )
...and the rubber flap is still going strong, despite what the naysayers predicted.

It's time again! Seven years of unorthodox grips and occasionally banging the camera into your forehead!

I was one of the people wondering about that rubber door when it came out! I still use my K01 on every trip I take, along with my K50 and Oly TG4!
