How does the cheap Delkin shade perform?

Hello everyone, I was looking around for some cheap shades for the k-01 to help me manual focus in the intense sunlight of Florida, and the most attractive option from what I've seen is the Delkin. I've searched around on the forums but haven't seen anyone say how it performs with the k-01.

Anyone here with some experience with this product?

If you mean "cheap" as in inexpensive compared to other options then this may be what I used many years ago on a bridge camera. It worked fine and looked good. (The one I had was called a Pop-Up Shade.)

Works fine for sun, but does get in the way of a few things. I sometimes like to shoot at chest or stomach level and I'll look at my LCD for frame reference - but the shade makes that impossible.

I have a Delkin devices DU3.0-M on the K-01.
It helps a little outdoors but not with the "mirror effect" pointing the camera into strong light where all you can see is your face.
Also the click in mechanism is not positive enough, the hood I have falls off when bumped.
I think one of the enclosing loupe hoods would be better.

yeah, I think the main problem is not sunlight hitting the screen, but rather an object, like your face or shirt, being illuminated and reflected in the screen. Because they are brighter than the screen, you cannot see the screen well. Of course, a hood will cast a shadow on your face as well. I just use a hat or baseball cap, works well enough. On hot sunny days, a hat is a good thing to wear anyway. Bonus points if its stylish or at least has a logo you like
A loupe might be a good choice, too. It basically transforms the back LCD into an EVF, but it does make the whole package bulkier. I know some forum users enjoy it.

I used the delkin shade for a while on my k-01 and it worked quite well. However I eventually removed it because it slowed me down when using the camera in point & shoot street photography.
