K-01 with M28/F3.5 - great rig

My K-01 is still my favorite camera. Lately with this incredibly sharp, beautiful rendering Pentax-M 28mm F3.5 lens with a Takumar 28mm rectangular hood, it's just an awesome rig. The "M" factor slows me down a little, but maybe that's a good thing.

Very cool look! I tend to lean a bit wider myself, but I've seen what a 28mm can do in my bag. It's definitely a great focal length on APSc cameras.

I''l second this same exact combo! It handles well and that SMCP-M 28/3.5 lens is just really sweet on the K-01 !!

that lens is my go-to wide landscape glass on the a7r... i've shot a dozen 28mm legacy primes from konica, olympus, canon, vivitar, etc., and pentax is where i always end up.

the only downside to the m28/3.5 is bad bokeh in certain circumstances, and maybe a bit too much distortion on ff, but it's clean all the way across the frame on 36mp, when it's stopped down.

it'll deliver, if you ever move to ff, and the f/3.5 dof on ff is less than it is on crop.

I find I get better results that way too.
I'm at 8 manual primes and counting... they're all addictive.

Cool! I like to use a similar setup - but I have the M 28mm 2.8 and a JJC clone of the square hood. 28mm is a good FoV on K-01 and the lens is so small it fits well!
