K-01 Lens?

I would like to know, off all the lenses you have in your arsenal, what is the sharpest on your K-01?

DA35 Macro.

It's also the sharpest on my K-30.

That's not really a question about the k-01 now is it

DA*300, followed by DA35 ltd, followed by DFA100 WR, followed by FA43, then FA77. The DA40 and DA70 deserve an honourable mention.

Light lenses.
With heavier lenses hand-holding the brick at arm's lenght becomes a chore, and your arms ache, and you can't keep steady, and you get motion blur.
Unless you use an LCD viewfinder, that is ;-)

Unless there's a vision impairment involved, no need to hold the K-01 at arm's length. Clamp your elbows to your sides - or the backs of your arms against your chest - and the camera will be less than a foot away from your face.

Well, as a brand new K-01 owner (not a brand new K-01, but a brand new owner of a used K-01), the sharpest lens I've used on it is the only lens I've used on it so far-- the FA 20/2.8 (but that is a pretty sharp w-a lens).

EDIT: Thinking ahead, s couple of other sharp lenses that I might use on it (for flower macros, just as soon as spring eventually arrives) might be the Tokina AT-X 90/2.5 "Bokina" and the Vivitar (Komine) 135/2.8 Close Focusing.

The only specific consideration for the K-01 should be autofocus, since lenses with a long throw will focus much more slowly on it compared to DSLRs. As far as sharpness is concerned, just look for the best K-mount lenses

OTOH lenses like the 15mm limited, 35mm macro, Sigma 35mm F1.4, 50mm macro, 77mm limited, and dfa 100mm macro are among Pentax's sharpest.

I obtained my best shots with my K-01 using DA Limited pancake lenses.

You lose the third contact point (zygomatic, frontal bone) all the same, while with a viewfinder you do not.

Of course, but the technique I described is far more stable than the zombie position in your first post.

I use an EVF viewer with the tele lenses.
